2024 has been a game-changing year for ActivityTimeline, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible partners who joined forces with us. So many amazing companies have trusted us to collaborate on projects that enhance workflows, boost productivity, and tackle tough challenges. To name a few standouts from our growing partner list: Seibert Group, Adaptavist, Design Industries, Life in Codes, Amoeboids, Kantega, Oboard, Decadis, Trinidad Wiseman, and Cprime Elabor8.
These partnerships, among many others, have been pivotal in making ActivityTimeline an even stronger resource for teams across industries. With users in over 80 countries, from startups to Fortune 500 giants, we’ve expanded our platform to better serve diverse needs, including launching new U.S.-based servers for local data hosting.
ActivityTimeline is more than a tool—it’s part of a growing ecosystem of innovators, all striving to simplify and supercharge the way teams work. We couldn’t have done it without our partners, and we’re looking forward to what’s next.
Product Innovations
This year, we’ve been all about listening to your feedback and turning it into meaningful improvements. Our team has been hard at work, rolling out updates and features to make ActivityTimeline even more powerful and user-friendly.
These updates are designed to make resource planning smoother and more intuitive while ensuring you get the most out of Jira. Get ready to boost your productivity and make resource planning even smarter:
Support of Reports and Charts as Jira Gadgets
We’ve made it easier than ever to bring ActivityTimeline insights into your Jira dashboards. Now, you can add your favorite AT reports—like the Team Capacity Chart, Planned vs. Actual Chart, and Team Utilization Pie Chart—as Jira gadgets. The setup is a breeze: select from a curated list of featured reports or find any existing ones, configure the settings, and add them to your dashboard.
What makes this feature extra cool is the built-in caching. Reports only refresh when you hit the refresh button or revisit the dashboard after a set time. You can even set auto-refresh intervals (daily, hourly, etc.) to keep things up-to-date without hogging resources. This integration lets you visualize your data where you need it most, bringing clarity to your Jira workspace with a single click.
Group by Custom Fields in Reports
We know how important customization is, so we’ve upped our game by allowing grouping by custom fields in several key reports. Now, you can organize data in the Resource Utilization Report, Project Resources Report, Planned vs. Actual Report, and more based on the fields that matter most to you.
Want to analyze resource utilization by department or project type? Or maybe see team capacity grouped by priority? It’s all possible now. This flexibility extends to charts as well—perfect for past and future data analysis. With these enhancements, your reports will fee l less like generic summaries and more like tailor-made insights for your team’s needs.
Find Duplicates in Jira Cloud
We’ve officially launched our first Forge-based app, Find Duplicates for Jira Cloud. This app is a handy tool for keeping your issue backlog clean by identifying duplicate tasks after they’ve been created. While some limitations exist compared to the Server/Data Center version (like no quick search or issue linking), this is a major step forward for cloud compatibility.
With a simplified configuration page, you can easily tailor the app to your needs without getting bogged down in excessive settings. It’s lightweight, effective, and brings much-needed functionality to cloud-based Jira setups. Stay tuned for more enhancements as we continue developing this platform.
Team Achievements
As we wrap up the year, we’re thrilled to reflect on the impact of knowledge-sharing events and team achievements.
ISO 27001:2022 certification
We’re proud to announce that ActivityTimeline has officially achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification.
